Buddy's Point for Sunset 4 p.m. – 6 p.m.For over 20 years, Buddy Tyson was the face of El Questro, a former Rodeo champion, drover and RM Williams model. He held court at “Buddy’s Rest” at El Questro Station and entertained guests, staff and friends. His storytelling was the stuff of legends, only matched by his love of being with the people who surrounded him. Buddy passed away in 2011, and this lookout – Buddy’s Point – has been named in his honour and commands extensive views of the Wilderness Park. The views from the top take in the heart of the Chamberlain Gorge which is not seen in that manner from any other look out. With 360 degree views of the property, you look down on the station township, up the Chamberlain River and follow the Pentecost out to the Gibb River Road. Exclusive to guests who book the Sunset Tour, or via a Private Lookout Booking. Tour to Buddy’s Point lookout offers a steep guided 4WD adventure in El Questro’s famous open air Safari vehicles. At the top of the point you can enjoy the amazing Kimberley sunset views whilst toasting the end of the day with a glass of Champagne.
