Always ensure you carry adequate supplies of fuel, food and most importantly, water. Nearly all of the Kimberley is cattle country, most roads are unfenced, which means cattle, horses, and donkeys can wander across the road at any time. Night driving can be dangerous due to straying animals. Extreme care is advised. Large road trains (semi trailer with three other trailers) can be up to 50 meters long. Caution is recommended when overtaking these vehicles. 4WD Hire Whilst El Questro does offer return road transfers from Kununurra, as well as guided tours, more adventurous guests might consider hiring a 4WD vehicle for their stay at El Questro.
