Boating along the Chamberlain Gorge is a must do while visiting El Questro. Only accessible by boat, this 3km fresh waterhole is surrounded by the Kimberley’s diverse flora and fauna and eclipsed by towering escarpments. While taking in the breathtaking scenery you’ll enjoy sparkling wine and fresh fruit from the local Ord valley. While you’re out on the water, ask your Ranger about the cheeky, spitting Archer fish and large, swirling Barramundi who’ll be sure to swim near the boat.

Hop aboard one of our open safari vehicles and experience El Questro in an afternoon. You'll be driven along a unique 4WD track past the Elgee Cliffs into Explosion Gorge, where you'll cruise this spectacular gorge. You will then jump back on board the safari vehicle and be driven to Branko's Lookout for sundowner drinks and nibbles.

A short drive and a wondrous walk through bushland and you arrive at Zebedee Springs set in an oasis of Livistona palms. Relax and immerse yourself in the thermal pools. A Beef & Barra lunch will follow at El Questro Station. After lunch it’s time to be driven to the jetty where you’ll board a boat and drift down the Chamberlain Gorge. 

The best way to get off the beaten track and experience secluded, otherwise inaccessible, areas is to travel by horseback. Whether you’re a first time rider or advanced rider our Guides will adjust the ride to your capabilities. The two-hour morning ride or a one-hour Station ride are perfect for all riders but if you’re looking for something more advanced then why not enjoy a full day ride which will include a picnic lunch at one of El Questro’s many waterholes. 

Head out on a 4WD fishing adventure with one of our fishing Guides to a secret spot on the Pentecost River. With the help of a little local knowledge you’ll be reeling in a Barramundi or even a Mangrove Jack, Threadfin Salmon, or Black Bream in no time. You don’t have to be an expert to jump on board as your Guide will teach you the basics as you go. There’s plenty of wildlife to be spotted, too, and estuarine crocodiles and sea eagles are commonly spotted along the Pentecost River.

Chasing the best sunset when there are so many lookouts at El Questro can feel like a mammoth task but with this tour you'll get to see one of our best, either Saddleback Ridge, Pigeon Hole Lookout or either Saddleback Ridge or Pigeon Hole Lookout. The drive to the top of these lookout points is steep and winding, which only allows for better views, and under the guide of an experienced Ranger you’ll reach your destination where you’ll enjoy drinks and a cheese platter while taking in the stunning 360-degree sunset view.
