Before pre-dinner canapes and drinks are served Homestead guests are invited to unwind in their suite, each of which has a private deck offering breathtaking views of the outstretched beauty of El Questro. "My wife and I stayed at El Questro Homestead for 2 nights during August, which was way too short to experience all on offer. The location is magical, staff excellent, food and drinks fantastic, rooms great, and views that are unmatched. Our favourite place to stay."
“From the minute we were picked up at Kununurra airport to the return drop-off we were treated like royalty. We were lucky enough to stay in one of the fantastic cliff side retreats with a wonderful outside shower and bath which enjoyed fantastic views across the Pentecost River towards the Chamberlain Gorge. They also had an indoor bathroom and shower for those that do not like to freshen up al-fresco. The rest of the room was spacious and sumptuously furnished and the views from the bed, bathroom and relaxing area were mind blowing. The mini bar was stocked to your liking and complimentary and the room was scrupulously clean. We could have just stayed for the whole stay in our room or on its balcony, it was so beautiful.
The rest of the Homestead is beautifully furnished and inviting and the swimming pool a welcome relief after the morning tour. The grounds are maintained impeccably and the choice of locations for dining or just relaxing are plenty.
However luxurious the hard product of a hotel is it is the staff that really make the difference. The staff, led by Sulitna, could not have been more genuinely caring and helpful. No request was too much and they bent over backwards to ensure we had a good time. Every single member of staff was an asset to the hotel.
The tours were diverse, bush and culture, cruising through the Chamberlain Gorge, a private visit to Zebedee Springs +++ and led excellently by quality guides. We were lucky enough to be the only guests on each of our tours and so the pace was set to our wishes.
The food was good and the portions generous. Each dinner was paired with lovely wines and served in various locations. Be prepared to put on a few pounds.
Our whole experience at the Homestead was truly memorable both for scenery, service, comfort and atmosphere. We also really appreciated that they serve French Champagne, it just makes you feel really spoiled.
We only hope that we can visit again one day.”
